What Quantum delivers

Quantum plans the radio network, selects and supplies the units, installs and commissions them, drives the interoperability and acceptance testing, and then optimises the live network.

- The full site range. Indoor all-in-one units through 320W massive MIMO macro — one supplier across the whole coverage plan.
- Capex and opex addressed together. Component competition lowers unit cost; cloud and AI operation lower the cost of running the network afterwards.
- Optimisation is part of delivery. Drive testing, parameter tuning and KPI acceptance are in the scope, not a change order.

What is Open RAN and why does it matter to an operator?
Open RAN disaggregates the radio access network into radio unit, distributed unit and centralised unit with open interfaces between them, so an operator can buy each part from a different supplier. The benefit is competitive pricing, faster innovation and cloud-based deployment. The cost is an integration burden that traditional single-vendor RAN did not have — which is why an integrator with acceptance accountability matters.
Which frequency bands does Quantum deploy?
The current 5G radio range covers n41 (2.5 GHz) and n78 (3.5 GHz) in TDD with 40, 60, 80 and 100 MHz channel bandwidths — the bands most widely licensed for 5G across the GCC and MENA.
What capacity can a single macro site carry?
A 320W 16-layer massive MIMO configuration with three-carrier aggregation delivers up to 10 Gbps downlink and 1.3 Gbps uplink per centralised unit, serving up to 3,000 user equipments across three to six cells.
Can Open RAN work alongside our existing single-vendor RAN?
Yes. Most regional networks are hybrid for years. Quantum plans the coexistence — neighbour relations, handover, transport and management integration — so the Open RAN footprint behaves as one network with the legacy estate.
